PRIDEのテーマがオクタゴンに鳴り響いた時には、マンダレイベイの会場の埋め尽くしたUFCファンたちも総立ちになって興奮している様子が手に取るようにわかった。
おれ自身も、言葉では言い尽くせないくらい気持ちが高ぶったね。
あの曲のおかげで、PRIDEでの4シーズンの一戦一戦の戦いと同じように、心の儀式、戦うモードへのシフトチェンジが本当にスムーズにできたという感じだと言えば、分かってもらえるかな。
あの曲が、どれだけ世界中の猛者たちを武者震いさせてきたかが本当に実感できた瞬間だった。
UFCに参戦していく俺の為に、あの曲をショートバージョンにアレンジしてまで届けてくれたMr. Sakakibara とMr. Kato に心から感謝をしたい。
